| INTRODUCTION / EINLEITUNG |
 EN Preference file location are always stored in user folder. Before you delete or rename them, you need to close the program. In order to not lose the settings you can move the preference files and folders to your desktop.
As a workaround you can also test the program behavior under a new local administrative user account.
Additionally some programs offer the option to reset it's preferences to standard values by pressing a specific key combination during application launch.
This is not reversible!
Most Windows systems such as Windows Vista/7/8 do not allow you to press these keyboard shortcuts while clicking on the application icon because this way specific Windows functions are executed. Here you need to use the keyboard shortcut immediately after clicking on the application icon.

Domain users usually load the preferences from the domain controller. So it's recommended to test the application behavior out of the domain first.

DE Die Voreinstellungsdateien befinden sich immer im Nutzerverzeichnis. Bevor du diese umbenennst oder entfernst muss das entsprechende Programm geschlossen werden. Um die Einstellungen nicht zu verlieren, kannst du auch die entsprechenden Dateien und Ordner auf den Arbeitsplatz verschieben.
Alternativ kannst du das Verhalten des Programmes unter einem neuen Benutzer zu testen.
Einige Programme bieten zusätzlich die Möglichkeit während des Programmstarts eine Tastenkombination zu drücken um somit die Voreinstellungen auf Standardwerte zurückzusetzen. Diese Vorgehensweise ist nicht umkehrbar.
Bei Windows Systemen kann die entsprechende Tastenkombination erst unmittelbar nach dem Klick auf das Programmsymbol gedrückt werden, da sonst andere Windows-Funktionen aufgerufen werden.

Domänennutzer laden die Voreinstellungen gewöhnlich von einem Server. Hier empfiehlt es sich, die Anwendung zunächst außerhalb der Domäne zu testen.
